Are you an experienced Carer or Support Worker looking for a new Challenge, further your skills working in a Complex Care environment?

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

The Role

We are recruiting experienced carers to work within Complex Care. Our client requires assistance with all aspects of Care and mobility. The client is non-verbal so communication skills must be clear and concise. A high level of assistance is required on a daily/nightly basis. From carrying out therapies (training will be provided by the OT) and following protocols assigned by Care Professionals working with the client. Once trained you will be required to administer PEG feed. The client has full access to a vehicle, which enables staff to support the client on day trips, hospital appointments and access to other social activities, to be able to drive this vehicle you need to be over 25yrs old.

Whilst we are an agency providing our staff to the client, this is on-going work with a long-term goal, you would work solely with this client. You will also be computer literate as our clients care notes need to be completed electronically.

We require flexibility in this role being able to cover day and night shifts is a must as well as short notice cover. A requirement of the role is to be available to work a minimum of 2 weekends per month. The team is small and there a commitment to flexible working and supporting each other when staff require holidays and sickness covered.

Care Assistant / Carer Duties

• Caring for Vulnerable adults
• Delivering high quality personal care to our clients' service users in all areas of their activities of daily living in a private and dignified manner
• Meeting the emotional needs of our clients' service users by listening to and conversing with them whilst carrying out practical tasks
• Work as a member of a team to create and maintain a co-operative and friendly environment for our clients'
• Assisting with access to appointments/social activities
• Domestic duties (cleaning client room and bathroom)

Care Assistant / Carer Specification

• Minimum of 12 months UK care experience (paid role)
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Flexibility in shift patterns (days and nights)
• Good team player
• Empathetic and caring towards client and family members
• Able to work 11 or 12hr shift patterns
• Over the age 25 with full UK driving licence
• Computer literate
• Willing to drive client vehicles (these can be large disability vehicles)
